The Battle of Jersey 1781

The Battle of Jersey fought on 6th January 1781 was a battle of the American War of Independence. 

Until the German Occupation of the 1940-45, it was the last time an enemy force sucessfully landed on the island. 

The actual fighting was all over in about 15 minutes but its historical importance has lasted centuries. 

This is a story of events during that day.
